Last day of the 38EUDXF Activity Month
And it can rightly be called an activity month. With the 55.000+ qsos already made by the 38EUDXF stations the activity has again been better then all previous years in this young tradition. Good propagation combined with daily active stations appears to be a golden combination.
So, today is the only day left to make or hear the qsos for the
38EUDXF Award
This award can be obtained by making contact with, or hearing, the various 38EUDXF stations active from a number of countries during the November 2024 EUDXF Activity Month .
The award will be available in 4 different classes:
- Bronze: 10 QSO’s with at least 6 special 38EUDXF stations and/or DL0EUF from at least 4 different countries
- Silver: 20 QSO’s with at least 8 different 38EUDXF stations and/or DL0EUF from at least 5 different countries.
- Gold: 30 QSO’s with at least 10 different 38EUDXF stations and/or DL0EUF from at least 6 different countries.
- Platinum: 40 QSO’s with at least 14 different 38EUDXF stations and/or DL0EUF .
- The same station on the same band in the same mode will count one time only.
Valid stations are: AO38EUDXF, AX38EUDXF, DL0EUF, DU38EUDXF, HA38EUDXF, ON38EUDXF, PA38EUDXF, PB38EUDXF, PC38EUDXF, PD38EUDXF, PE38EUDXF, PF38EUDXF, PG38EUDXF, PH38EUDXF and PI38EUDXF.

- Special awards will be made available for single band and/or single mode applications.
- The award will be available for free in an digital format.
- A printed award will be made available against cost of 10 Euro/Dollar.
Some simple rules on how to get the award:
- Applications for this unique award may be send to pa1aw@eudxf.eu.
- Your application must include a log extract showing which award is applied for and a summary of the claimed qso’s for this award.
- Applications should be received by 31 December 2024.
- You will always receive an acknowledgement of receipt.
- If you do not have received an acknowledgement before Xmas please contact Alex PA1AW.
- Applications received after 31 December 2024 will not be processed.
EUDXF supports the 7O8AD – 7O8AE DXpedition to Yemen
It is our pleasure to announce that the EUDXF Board decided to support the november 2023 7O8AD – 7O8AE DXpedition to Yemen by Ken LA7GIA and Shani HA5DDX.
This small team will be active from Socotra Island AF-028 (LK72cq) November 3-16, 2023.
Tent and generator operation, limited facilities at Dhihamri, grid locator LK72CQ
- Two generators, one main and one spare.
- 2-3 stations on the air with focus on CW/SSB
- 7O8AD Ken: 1x CW + 1xFT8 (SO2R light)
- 7O8AE Shani: 1xSSB
- 100W RIGs: Three 100W stations. No amplifier due to weight restrictions.

- Band: 160-10m. No band plan, use the VFO. FT8 will be WSJT-X F/H or MHSV – never on standard frequency.
- Antennas: Verticals and VDA close to saltwater, clear beach take off.

With the 37EUDXF Activity month November just a month away we are pleased to report that at least 14 Special Event Stations have confirmed to be active in November coming:

Other countries are expected but not confirmed yet.
A fine line-up with a diversity of preferred modes.
14 active stations looks promissing for a real activity month.
Again this year there will be is a special 37EUDXF award available.
Details of this will follow as soon as the overall line-up is confirmed.
