EUDXF supports the MDXC DXpedition to Djibouti
The EUDXF board decided in favor of supporting the upcoming DXpedition by the MDXC to Djibouti J28MD.
After two years of forced stop, the Mediterraneo Dx Club (MDXC) will be soon on air again with a new challenge. From 29th of October till the 7th of November 2022, a very skilled international team (IZ8CCW-IZ4UEZ-IZ3GNG-IZ2GNQ-YO8WW-AG4W-IK4QJF-DJ5IW-DL6LZM-DL8JJ-KO8SCA-DL8OBF-NG7M-IU8LMC) will be active from Djibouti as J28MD, with special focus on low bands and WARC.

NP4G visit to Europe
Otis NP4G one of the 3Y0J team members visited Netherlands and Belgium over Easter. Achim DF3EC and Hans PB2T had a short meeting with him in the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes. This location was chosen to allow Otis to add another entity to his DXFC. The weather was excellent but conditions were not as result of recent solar disturbances.
Next stop for Otis will be Svalbard where he will do some serious cold weather training. The DX pedition to Bouvet, 2nd on the Most Wanted List is scheduled for January 2023. See https://www.3y0j.no
EUDXF Board Member DF3EC visits HamCation in the USA
EUDXF board member Achim DF3EC visited HamCation in Orlando, Florida this February. HamCation hosted the 2022 ARRL National Convention under the theme of “reDiscover Radio” as one of the largest annually held gatherings of radio amateurs in the US. The last convention in 2020 attracted 24,200 visitors over all three days. This year hams from US, Canada but also from Europe were attracted by lectures, forums, meetings and a wide range of vendors, clubs as well as a huge fleamarket under Florida’s sun. Among the presentations were also DX-related topics like a presentation on the OJ0C 2021 DX-pedition to Market Reef and the VP8PJ DX-pedition to Signy Island, Antarctica.
Our friends from ARRL were represented with a large booth. Achim met ARRL’s president Rick K5UR – who belongs to the top DXers in the world – and ARRL CEO David NA2AA. Our board member also used the opportunity to activate the special event station W1AW/4. He met numerous ham friends who confirmed that EUDXF is a well-known association also in the US.
