DX dinner at the Hamradio in Friedrichshafen

Also this year there will be a DX dinner for EUDXF members (and their partners) during the Hamradio.

The dinner will take place in Gasthof Traube, Storchenstraße 1, 88069 Tettnang. (www.traube-tettnang.de) on Saturday 22 June 2019. Start will be around 19h00 local time.

Participation is possible for EUDXF members who paid their annual membership dues and who made a reservation in advance.

The maximum number of seats available is 50.
Reservations are on a first come first served basis.
Reservations can be made until 15 June 2019, or until the maximum number of 50 is reached, via the EUDXF stand manager Jan PA1TT (pa1tt@eudxf.eu)

There will be a set menu.
Special dietary requirements should be made known in advance.
We hope to meet you in Tettnang.

Please note; The BCC DX diner this year will be on Friday, so make your reservation in time!

Coming Up: E51HMK – South Cook DXpedition

EUDXF Member Hans-Martin DK2HM is ready to travel to the pacific for his 2019 DXpedition to the South Cook Islands where he will be E51HMK.

Hans-Martin will stay on Rarotaonga Island OC-013.Activity will start march 14th and will end March 22nd.
The operation will be Holiday Style on HF, mainly SSB but also some digital modes (FT8).
The radio is a IC706MK2 driving a HLA300+ amplifier.
The antennes will be a windom dipole (80-10m) and a EFHW80-10 by MyAntennas.
Hans-Martin is also invited to use a local shack with beam and a more powerfull amp.

Coming up: E6ET – Niue Island

Active EUDXF Member Alex 5B4ALX his DXpedition to Niue Island is coming in a few days. Despite this is a One-Man-DXpedition activity is to be expected as Alex is often in SO2R style of operation combining several bands and modes. Alex will carry enough hardware with him to provides us with good signals from the Pacific:

  • 2x Icom IC-7300 + solid state amplifier
  • 2x 40A switching
  • 2x Laptop (running Wintest and FT8 dxped software)

Antennas :

  • 6m : Mono Quad @ 8mh
  • 10m : Mono Quad @ 8mh
  • 15m : Mono Quad @ 8mh
  • 17/20m : Homemade 1/2 wave Vertical Antenna
  • 30/40/60/160m : Homemade 18mh Vertical Antenna
  • RX antenna : 100m BOG

Mode : SSB-CW-RTTY-FT8
